Earlier this week, a friend of mine "liked" an Inc. article he had read on LinkedIn. It's called, "Storytelling Is Out: Why Storymaking Is the Future of Brand Marketing." With a touch of sarcasm, I quickly shot my friend an email with the subject line, "Now What?" My point is so many people in our industry, including we here at Tweedee, talk about storytelling. We help other people tell their stories. But, once I read the article, my anxiety caused sarcasm disappeared. It's a good read and a good reminder. Plus, it's something many of our clients, such as CapTel, are already doing.
So, the next time you think about doing a video, give them the quarter-inch hole not just the quarter-inch drill bit. (You'll understand what I mean if you read the article.)
